Clarinetist Jacob Moyer’s playing has been heralded as “superlative” and “terrific” by The Washington Post and praised by Wynton Marsalis for having a “rich, woody tone and fluid velocity across all registers." Jacob joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in 2018 after earning his Bachelor of Music degree from Shenandoah Conservatory and completing one year of master’s study at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

His performances have spanned three continents, taking him to world class venues including Chicago’s Symphony Hall and Cleveland’s Severance Hall. Internationally, he has performed at Spain’s Auditorio de Zaragoza and Argentina’s Palacio Libertad, where he appeared as a featured soloist in the largest performing arts center in South America. Jacob later earned both his Master of Music degree (2023) and Doctor of Musical Arts degree (2026) from Shenandoah Conservatory. His primary teachers include Garrick Zoeter, Jane Carl, Jon Agazzi, and Darrin Thiriot.
